How Often Should I Visit the Dentist?
We recommend scheduling routine dental appointments once every six months. Routine dental care acts as a preventative treatment so patients can avoid costly care and dental problems down the road. During biannual visits, our dental professionals will evaluate your oral health and examine your smile for dental problems. Our dental hygienists remove any plaque and tartar buildup during dental cleanings to help maintain the health of your teeth and gums.
Visiting with us on a regular basis can help you avoid dental health emergencies and common oral diseases such as tooth decay and gum disease. If you have been away from the dentist and would like to discuss restoring the health and function of your smile, Dr. Greenberg can work with you on an individual basis to achieve your goals.
Digital Technology
We strive to keep up with the latest advances in digital dentistry, including new cone beam 3-D x-ray technology to aid in diagnosis & treatment planning. We now have a new Vatech Machine with cone beam technology. This innovative technology takes a panoramic image of the mouth, which we use to diagnose our dental patients. The Vatech machine rotates around the patient, taking multiple images of the tooth structure, gum tissue, nerves, and jaw bone. The CBCT 3-D cone beam technology allows us to take three-dimensional scans in the office for better diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Greenberg uses a SprintRay 3D printer and can often create custom dental crowns and oral appliances in our dental office while you wait. The use of this technology as part of your treatment process means that you can enjoy improved dental health without multiple visits in many cases.
For improved accuracy when providing a dental exam, we use handheld digital oral cameras. Our team can easily scan and analyze your mouth with instant digital images, enabling us to spot developing dental concerns earlier.
Restorative and Cosmetic Care in Baltimore
Some of the most popular dental treatments that we offer to patients are cosmetic and restorative dental options that improve the health and function of your smile. Dr. Greenberg can provide comprehensive diagnostics using CBCT scanning. CBCT scans deliver high-resolution images of both hard and soft tissue in your mouth, sinuses, and surrounding neck and jaw areas with minimal radiation exposure. These images are far more detailed and can allow our dental care team to identify and diagnose a wide range of dental problems. CBCT scanning is often used when evaluating your oral structure for placing dental implants.
Invisalign: Straighten crooked and misaligned teeth with Invisalign. Invisalign utilizes a series of clear plastic aligners to straighten teeth over time gradually. This quick and comfortable alternative to traditional metal braces allows patients to realign their smiles without dietary restrictions. Realigning crooked teeth can prevent problems like tooth decay, TMJ disorders, and gum disease.
Dental Implants: Patients who are missing one or more teeth can replace the gaps in their smile with dental implants. A single dental implant consists of a titanium post, abutment, and dental crown. This restorative solution improves the form and function of a patient’s bite by replacing missing teeth at the root.
Teeth Whitening: We offer professional teeth whitening treatment in our office with Zoom! teeth whitening. Whitening teeth professionally can improve tooth health, brighten teeth, and reverse the effects of aging on teeth.
Alleviating Dental Anxiety
We understand that some patients suffer from dental fear or anxiety. Our compassionate dental team and office staff welcome all patients and aim to create a warm and friendly environment in our dental office. Dr. Greenberg will explain all of the steps of your treatment beforehand so you can better understand your care. We are also dedicated to providing every patient with high-quality care, which is why we offer dental sedation so that patients feel relaxed during treatment and do not feel any pain. Sedation dentistry treatments calm patients so that they can receive the care they need.
